Why We Hate ICE

A lot of us have gotten engaged/enraged over the activities of ICE this last week. After going through social media, various sites and TV, I feel there is a key disconnect on this issue for both sides. With this I hope to at least reasonably explain-

WHY WE HAVE ISSUES WITH ICE

-ICE was never really this version till this year. ICE was formed in March of 2003 in response to the 9/11 attacks. But it’s never been more visible and widespread until this year, when Trump gave them (seemingly) unlimited autonomy.

-And since this was a Trump mandate, many of us associate this as an arm of Trump. Many of us see this as a personal gestapo force, with unclear objectives and acting on vendettas. Is it fair to say many of us see a serious conflict with a 34-time convicted felon running a shadowy quasi police force with no accountability? Would you put an alcoholic in charge of your family bar? Would you send your child to a daycare run by a pedophile? Of course not. So we don’t understand how you could vote for one. (BAZING!) We only see ICE as a swarm with little organization, appearing to randomly materialize, be belligerent, antagonistic and indiscriminately swipe people and disappear. Where do all the detainees go? Is there some big, empty building somewhere? Oh, right, the Trump Kennedy Center. So-

Don't be honest with me; be honest with yourself here. You see this rushing you in a parking lot, what do you do? What do you think? You feel safe?

-We can’t acknowledge/respect them as real law enforcement. For us, real police have extensive training (I’ve seen ICE training at anywhere from 8-22 weeks. I’ve seen police academy training lasting anywhere from 12-27 weeks, and also an average of 840 hours) don’t hide their faces (yes, there are instances where some undercover law enforcement officers will mask up when serving a warrant, raid, etc), don’t hide their badges, use less lethal first, wear recognizable uniforms, (generally) drive clearly marked cars, don’t view  Super Troopers as  “training material” and are often seen doing positive things in the community. Here’s an idea; ditch the mask, it makes you look like cowards, plain and simple. If you’re wearing a mask, you are already going to alter the behavior of anyone you encounter, it just invites conflict and an unsafe environment for everyone. Sure, there are some jobs where you wear a mask; welder, doctor, diver, luchador.

ICE agent or Rey Mysterio? HOW CAN YOU TELL??

And it’s totally not lost on us that these same Bubbas are the same morons who weren’t wearing masks 6 years ago. Hypocrisy knows no bounds. Is thinking you’re a sovereign citizen a prerequisite to getting hired? Next, name and badge number. Every other law enforcement agency does it. If you’re a proud boy of what you do, show it. Like the real police do. You can either look like thugs, or a legitimate agency.

Bigger vests (for their own safety) clearly marked shirts, hats and maybe pants. Outside the vest, most of these Bubbas seem to wear comically tight polo shirts and a White Sox cap. And how about some boots, because it’s not ironic at all that real ice often seems to foil the pretend ICE.

The fact that previous J6 insurrectionists are openly wearing Teemu ICE gear to scare off Mexicans is shameful, and something else I didn’t know was a thing until doing research. No side needs fake agents running around. In everything I’ve seen, they jump out of unmarked cars, masked faces, sometimes a cap. If I was in a parking lot and saw a bunch of beater cars pull up blaring ‘Bawitdaba” and masked men covered in Cheeto dust run out, I’m thinking “criminals” and getting dafuq outta there, too. What would you do? As a result, we feel safe with police, but wary of ICE. We’ve all seen so, so many videos where they are threatening and menacing law-abiding bystanders. A fair point can be made that Ice babies are almost inviting conflict. Can we not both share some concern here? Speaking of training-

-This is why I do the research. Looking at the Good shooting (a true oxymoron, kinda like Trump University) to many of us (and I am firmly in this category), it looked like the shooter Ross was a new agent. And that was part of my point above. I was truly shocked to find out he was a vet and with ICE for a long time. I found myself struggling with how someone with the background and training could recklessly shoot so fast. Honestly, I feel most of these ICE agents are incel Bubbas who lost their job when the GameStop at the mall closed and  they already beat the latest Call of Duty. To my point above and below, and for the safety of all of us, ICE needs better training, for everyone’s sake.

-ICE doesn’t come across as organized, so we question their training. From their own site: Agents must navigate intricate legal frameworks, make critical decisions under pressure, and uphold the constitutional rights of all individuals they encounter. This requires mastery of immigration law, criminal statutes, administrative procedures, and constitutional limitations on enforcement actions. The legal landscape is further complicated by variations in state laws, court rulings that modify enforcement practices, and international treaties that impact certain cases.” Looking again at the multiple videos from Minnesota, Chicago and Oregon -among many others- incidents, many of us don’t see this.

-We don’t trust them. From an ICE agent training site under Community Impact and Trust; “ICE operations significantly affect immigrant communities, making cultural competency and ethical conduct crucial components of agent training. Building trust with communities encourages reporting of serious crimes and cooperation with investigations into human trafficking, forced labor, and other exploitative practices. Training must therefore address not only technical skills but also community engagement strategies and ethical decision-making frameworks.” A lot of us do not see or feel this. ICE has already refused to work in conjunction with local Minnesota authorities. Combine that with the fact that Trump has pardoned more people in this term than any other President. Ever. Combined.

Same sad info in graph form

Reports put the number at 1,600, with 1,500 of them being J6ers. And guess how many of those J6ers celebrated by getting arrested again? I suppose this is Trump’s way of creating jobs. And he’s pardoned some heinous criminals, with crimes far more severe than being an illegal immigrant. Don’t think Jose and Manuela are the ones that crashed your 401, jacked your insurance, caused inflation. All those issues are created by old, white, scared, American men. Focus on that.  Is it reasonable that we might be skeptical if we can’t work together? Maybe a clear mission statement, and not the ambivalence on their hiring site. I’ll be honest with you; if I see real cops at a parade I feel safe. If I see ICE, I’m getting the fuck out of there; shit about to go down. Though, I do feel good about my chances of outrunning these Bubbas if I have to. There are many claims that ICE agents do get physical training. I feel like the only workout they get is trying to button their jeans.

-Why is it lethal first, where is less lethal? Look, I will base this one mostly on the thousands of hours of Cops, OPL and various other cop shows I’ve wasted my life watching. What I’ve seen is the development of less lethal means to subdue a suspect. Taser, bean bags, pepper spray. We believe the last thing any cop wants to do is to draw their gun and shoot to kill someone. When you see so many videos of shoot first, can you share the concern? Johnathan Ross is an Iraq vet, member of the National Guard and ICE member since 2015. In a similar case where he claimed to be “scared for his life” he first used a window punch to reach in the car of a fleeing suspect. The suspect, RNG, drove away with Ross’ arm stuck inside. In that case, Ross did use a taser, that reportedly had no effect. Ross got dragged about 100 feet is the claim. Is it a fair question to ask why he could use less lethal the first time, but went right for the gun in an open window this time? Can we now express doubt about that first event, seeing video of the Good event? Was their any sort of wrap around training/interview to ensure Ross was safe to go back in the field? Good could have absolutely been sprayed or tasered, and we have a totally different story.

-If we see ICE as just a personal police force of the Trump administration, we also don’t trust the administration. We believe much of what Noem, Vance and Trump said is not what we see in the multiple videos. We’re asking for more evidence of Noem’s claim Good was stalking ICE officers before the shooting. What counts as stalking? Was she at a protest? Was she visibly agitating ICE agents? Facts, man, where are the facts? ICE wears cams, where is the footage to verify this? Don’t you want to see it, too? Could it prove your point?

I forced myself to watch about 20 minutes of her on Tapper, spewing her agenda and telling the sheep what to see in the video. I lost so many IQ points so quickly, RFK started making sense. The lowest of irresponsible politics, the same playbook. Take no responsibility, blame the victim, blatantly lie about the evidence right in front of our faces. Feed the sheep their orange Haterade. This administration is forever the victim here. I found a great quote about this:

“Victimhood feels safer than responsibility.” 100fucking%

Maybe Noem is better off ruining Space Force since I have no idea what fucking planet this space cadet is from. Is everything/reality just a Rorschach test to Noem?

“Hey Kristi, can you tell me what you see in this picture?”

“That’s a Prada bag. Full of Botox.”

-JD Vance has made multiple unsubstantiated claims that Good was “brainwashed, part of a broader left wing network to attack, dox, assault and make it impossible for our ICE officers to do their job, viciously ran over ICE officer.” And to be fair, JDV knows about brainwashing, if you look at his Trump quotes from the early 2020s. He also made the unsubstantiated claim of there’s a “group of left-wing radicals that have been working tirelessly, sometimes using domestic terror techniques to make it impossible for the president of the US to do what the American people elected him to do, which is enforce our immigration laws.” Can we see evidence of this? If you believe Vance, wouldn’t you want to see the proof as well? Showing a video of Good running over Ross can really answer a lot of questions here.

-JD Vance also openly said, then doubled down on “If I have to create stories so the American media actually pays attention to the suffering of American people, then that’s what I’m going to do.” So when an elected official says they will make up stories, is it not fair to be doubtful and skeptical of the official? Wouldn’t you want to see proof of the claim? Can you see where there is never any proof, we think he is creating again? What other stories is he “creating” for all of us? Would you want your doctor to “create stories?”

On this topic, some called JDV a Care Bear, and now I can’t unsee it.

Scaramucci "JD Vance looks like a homosexual care bear that married ...
More like Uncare Bear.

-Trump himself claimed she was a “professional agitator.” We might change our minds if we saw any evidence to support any of the above claims. Without confirmation, how can we trust any of what these three say? These alleged videos are more heavily guarded than the piss tape. Could you award these words and action/inaction a peace prize?

-DHS is now reporting the couple also shot by ICE in Portland were in fact gang members. This is a relatively new development, with no further proof offered at this time. If ICE wants to focus on illegals with ties to gangs and drugs, they are sorely needed in South Central, East and West LA. There’s a bunch of criminals that occasionally work at the Capitol, Washington, DC 20515. Also please check 1100 South Ocean Boulevard, Palm Beach, FL 33480. Especially on the weekends, be sure to check the golf course. Can we send them there?

-Many of us think ICE is a smoke screen. Blaming the “dirty immigrants” is an overused trope by both sides. We’re not buying that ICE is being successful at what they do. And that’s because supporters on both sides are not buying food (as example) because the prices are still too damn high. There is a lot of research out there to show tariffs are hurting us on the whole and clearly all of us as individuals, especially after an historically bad year for job growth. Epstein files come out? President of Venezuela magically is taken and arrested. When asked to name the capital of Venezuela, Trump said, “Fernando.” As I write this now, we’ve suddenly attacked ISIS targets in Syria. Now there’s talk about military action against Greenland? WTF Greenland do? Clown can’t handle the US, no way his tiny hands can handle Venezuela and Greenland. Can we agree the timing of this seems at least a teensy bit suspicious?

-We’d rather the ICE budget of $8 billion (from ICE’s own site, some estimates are as high as $30 billion) be used for more constructive issues. Can we at least get some data on ICE? Is immigration crime down 1000%? Are Jose and Manuela now chasing down the nonwhites? For example, gun control, women’s rights, better education, environmental protections, stronger infrastructure, science, health care. Something we can all benefit from seems fair.

-We question that what Renee Good did is being classified as “domestic terrorism.” If that is correct, how do we align that with the “non-domestic terrorism” of J6? How many police officers got hurt or died as a result there? We don’t understand how you’re cool with the J6 insurrection, but a woman in a minivan is the devil. Does the line get blurry for you, too?

These are fucking heroes. All real police defending the Capitol. No masks. All died as a result.

A hero at one time. But no longer

Regardless of what side of the fence you are on, I at least hope you found this helpful. Transparency, accountability and honest, accurate answers would make this a better week for all of us. We all still gotta live here.

“That’s fine, dude. I am not mad at you.” Renee Good’s final words

3 gun shots

“Fucking bitch.” Jonathan Ross as he walks away.

I think if people value democracy, they had damn well better get out and exercise their right to vote while their vote still means something. Bob Weir

First of all, thanks for reading the whole thing. Yes, this was super long. (That’s what she said!) At it’s core, it was a bipartisan post that ran somewhere else. Yes, this version is clearly more opiniated, triggering, angry, frustrated, hopeless, snarky. And stay with me here. Can we all agree this is pretty much how we ALL feel whenever we look at any fucking media? I don’t care what side of the fence you are on, I truly feel the more time you spend doing your own research and going down rabbit holes, the easier it is to just lose faith. I am sure all the rage I’ve illustrated above is also being felt on the other side. And I fear that is really the point. Divide and conquer.

Like, it hurt my head to spend all the hours I did on these posts. So many voices, so many sources, so much material, so many ideas, so many lies, so much propaganda, brazen hatred. In this age of over prevalent social media, I’ve seen so many personal (and in all likelihood incorrect) viewpoints applied to the Good shooting. Dizzying. There are 50 different lenses to look through. I’ve said this a billion times, I don’t care about your politics, we should all be mad at the state of the country. I’m mad we’re not all more united.

And now I have to suffer because the home feed on FB is nothing but triggering political content. FFUUCCKKK ME. I’ll be tapping out of the socials for a few days. But no worries, I’m already working on 2 nonpolitical, funny as hell material that you should expect from me. I look forward to making you all laugh again in a bit.

Does anybody remember laughter?
